If you love the unique feel of waxed wood surfaces, but at the same time you want them to be extremely resilient, then this specially developed Wood Wax is the right choice for you. The ideal combination of oil and wax penetrates deep into the pores of the wood and seals it with a hard wax coat. Natural Wood Wax is best liberally applied as a final layer to surfaces that have already been given a base coat of Natural Wood Oil (item 73003), but it can also be used alone and applied in two coats. In this case the first coat must not be polished. Before oiling or applying the first coat of Wood Wax the wood surface should be sanded smooth with 240 grain sandpaper. Generously apply a coat of Wood Oil or the first coat of Wood Wax, cover highly absorbent spots again, and after 30 minutes remove any excess completely. There should be no shiny spots left. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours, repeat the process with Natural Wood Wax once more and, after it has dried, polish the remaining wax coat using pressure until there is a silky sheen.
