69 842 Shellac Primer

Shellac Primer is a naturally-based agent which protects the surface of fine woods. A thin coat of Primer is applied to the dry surface of the wood and then left to soak in completely and to dry for 24 hours. It penetrates deep into the pores of the wood and seals it. Using Shellac Primer significantly reduces the amount of Natural Wood Oil (item 73003) or Natural Wood Wax (item 73053) consumed when these are used to give a final finish to wooden objects. Any shiny spots on the surface of the wood indicate that too much primer, or multiple coats, have been applied. These spots should be sanded down again.
