Surface treatment
Rust or verdigris is created through oxidation – a natural chemical reaction that leads to changes on the surface. The same process occurs in our environment through contact with rain and air (oxygen), only much more slowly.
Through the development of metal‑containing dispersions (iron and metal primers), CREARTEC has established the basis for achieving this effect more quickly: by applying an oxidation agent to pre‑treated surfaces, a chemical transformation takes place. The result is a rusty surface or one covered with verdigris.
