Do it yourself! Under this motto—and with the publication of this catalog—we have been manufacturing hobby, craft, and creative materials exclusively in Germany for exactly 30 years.
Many of our more than 400 customers are connected to us through long-standing, trust-based partnerships, some dating back to the company’s founding in 1996. Together, with high-quality and safe “Made in Germany” products, we have grown into one of the leading European manufacturers in this sector. For our motivated team, this designation represents a promise of value that goes far beyond mere geographic origin.
Over recent years, we have invested significant sums in specialized software and modern analytics in order to meet the continuously increasing regulatory compliance requirements in Europe. As a result, we are now able to routinely carry out all relevant tests internally, outsourcing only microbiological analyses and specialized examinations that we cannot perform ourselves to accredited testing institutes.
Following the departure of the founder in 2017, the company initially entered a transition phase that included comprehensive modernization and automation of production, extensive digitalization, and portfolio optimization. Stronger, faster, and more efficient than ever, we are setting the course for growth and sustainability in our anniversary year 2026.
Our business model is designed to handle small-scale batch production as efficiently as possible. Our batch sizes range from approximately 30 kg to 1,000 kg, or from a few hundred to tens of thousands of packaging units. Our core business is private label customers, to whom we offer a comprehensive full-service solution, as well as the business of our three umbrella brands—Artidee, Playtec, and Sapolina. In addition, we supply certain formulations in bulk containers to industrial customers and offer contract filling and packaging services—an area in which we are highly competitive thanks to our specialization.
Already during the development of products for the hobby, craft, and creative sectors, we pay close attention to formulating them to be as free of hazardous substances and as environmentally compatible as possible. For products where this is not easily achievable—such as cleaning agents and solvent-based coatings—we strive to shift the raw material base toward renewable resources and can often offer similarly high-performing alternatives on a water-based formulation. For us, sustainability in production means focusing on resource efficiency, energy savings, and waste reduction. Naturally, we are also happy to offer our private label customers packaging solutions based on various qualities of recycled materials.
