  • Formaform – Rubber-elastic casting compound

Formaform is the perfect material for all beginners to start mould making with. Melting Formaform and liquid in a water bath creates a thin moulding compound which is an ideal cost-effective alternative to silicone. The compound hardens as it cools, producing a ready-to-use negative mould in only a short time.

It is possible to recycle a negative mould up to six times. To do so, cut up unsuccessful moulds into small pieces with a pair of scissors, add a little Formaform liquid, melt down and reuse to cast another mould.

Moulds made with Formaform can, however, only be used for casting once or twice, since they are neither heat nor water-resistant. But that situation can be changed: when cross-linked with Formaform Thermolan, moulds can be used up to 20 times. The negative mould cannot, however, be melted down again, but it is now ideal for filling with a wide range of casting compounds, such as ceramic casting compounds, plaster, Polyester Casting Resin, Cold Glaze, wax, soap and concrete.
