The key premise for the CREARTEC mould making system is that it must be possible to produce the required mould fast and with no major technical effort. In order to achieve this, the available moulding material and accessories must be universally applicable, to ensure that they can be used to create a ready-to-use mould reliably and without any significant prior knowledge.
The CREARTEC mould making system is based on these criteria. It comprises four different silicones, each of which is customised to one application, but which can all be mixed together and combined with and among each other. This unique range of materials is complemented by accessories which have been developed in a modular system to fulfil this purpose: these can be used to tailor the prepared moulding compound and adjust it to make it ready for use for the appropriate function for its intended application:

• the hardening time can be shortened or lengthened;
• the viscosity of the silicone can be changed. It can be made thinner, freer flowing or thicker, and it can also be thixotoped (made non-drip or spreadable); 
• the silicones can be mixed together. This produces an elastic, viscoplastic, hard, extremely dimensionally stable or highly elastic moulding material;
• a flexible, elastic moulding material can be produced from a rigid, temperature-resistant silicone in order to produce heat-resistant moulds into which metals with low melting points can be poured
